Jaz Green rocks on at Smokefree Rockquest
Jaz and her new band "Save a Stranger" are performing live for the first time at the Smokefree Rockquest this Saturday 16 May at Auckland Girl’s Grammar school.
Our talented Jaz who is an experienced Singer also plays bass in the band. The band who write their own songs will perform an original at the Rockquest. Jaz says she is nervous yet keen to develop her band and this will be a great experience.

It’s not the destination, it’s the journey
A group of 8 students including myself were given the unbelievable opportunity to attend the Hillary Leadership programme in April 2015. Before we knew it we found ourselves in the middle of dusk caves with nothing but the surreal glow-worms dim light to guide us, shining like a thousand stars above us in the middle of the day. Standing together on Mt Tongariro surprised at how far we’d come as snowflakes began to fall and attach themselves to our beanies and gloves. The week was full of determination, teamwork, infinite smiles and laughs. The challenges we faced brought us together and enabled us to see life in another light, to appreciate nature and the breath-taking country that we live in. We achieved things we initially thought were impossible and learnt new skills that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Academic Achievers' Dinner
Our outstanding NCEA achievers were recognised at our annual High Achievers Dinner on Thursday 19 February. This event is an opportunity to acknowledge our students who gained an Excellence Endorsement in NCEA in 2014 and celebrate their success with their families.
